reading habits.....

Hi everyone ..Good morning… my name is nurfarah amirah. This is my turn to leave a comment after my friends did.okay.Let straight to the point.
Talking about reading books, how many of us really know and enjoy the real meaning and value of reading a book? The answer is definitely a 'No' towards such a question. People nowadays read just for their studies purpose or have to read more in order to fulfill their working requirement, so that they can know more about a particular case and can present it during the meeting.
We also might think that reading is just for the student who are going to seat for the exam with the aim that they would pass the exam with flying colour. It seems that this thought has made our people today lazy to read as they are much more busy with other thing. It is hardly to see people reading in the public transport or even while waiting for the bus at the bustop. This is due to the lack of awareness among our people.
How we want to improve this situation to become better than what we are seeing now. Of course the big solution for this problem is by cultivate our children starting at the young age to read variety of book.We as parents has to start it by read them a story book every day before they sleep. This will attract their interest to know more about the content of the book. Lastly they would fall in love towards reading.
The content of the book itself should be more interesting to attract our people to read. Lets look at the example of Harry Potter's book which are been written by J.K.Rowling. People are being carzy to by her books although the price are so expensive. The latest addition of her book which title The Deathly Hallow, the price was very expensive, that's about RM120 and above, but its seem has attract many people to buy it.Why is this happen? It is because J.K.Rowling has success in writing the most attracting story. Thus the advice to the new writter or even the old one, create the interesting story so that we can improve reading among our people.
Thus, in conclusion, everything that we can should be done in order to let today’s people really enjoy reading and have this practice of reading.(sorry because i'm using azila's email, i forgot mine!!!)

Hello everyone ,yee jing here, today we are going to talk about the reading habit.
We should set a reading goal. Determine how much time you want to spend reading, or how many books you want to read over time. Your goal might be a book a month, one per week, or it might be to read 30 minutes a day. Start out with something attainable but still a stretch. As your habit builds, you might set higher goals. Setting a goal is the first step towards reading more.
Visit the library or bookstore often. You have your list, right? So you’ll have some ideas of what you are looking for when you walk in. But there is more to be gained by walking through places where books reside than just to make a transaction. Take time to browse! Let your eyes find things of interest. Let serendipity happen. Browsing will feed your mental need to read, and give you plenty of new things to read.So this is the two ways of making ourself in reading.
Most people wish they read more. It is an activity that is both fun and enlightening. It can help us be more knowledgeable and successful. However, it is an activity that many people don’t engage in very much. According to the 1999 National Household Education Survey, 50% of the U.S. population aged 25 and over read a newspaper at least once a week, read one or more magazines regularly, and had read a book in the past 6 months. It means that 50% of the population hasn’t read a book in the last six months! Research shows that if you read ten books a year, you are in the top few percent of all people as readers. Simply stated, it doesn’t take much to be well read, but we do need to know how to get started. The following are ten suggestions to help you strengthen your reading habit – ways to find and make more time for reading.
